May 2010: Tim Wilks It is with great sorrow that we must announce the passing of Tim Wilks, Sales Manager of tender builder Pascoe International. Tim collapsed on Sunday 23rd May, while competing in a local Triathlon, and did not recover. Doing Triathlons and Ironman was one of Tim’s great passions and we are pleased for him that he was doing something he loved when he died. Tim will be remembered by all who knew him as having great humility and a wicked sense of humour. He was initially at Watercraft and then as founder and principal of Ribtec, and later as Sales and Marketing Manager with Pascoe International. He was not a pushy salesman, relying totally on his reputation, trust and quality of the product to do the sales work. This gained him great respect in the industry with many customers returning to him for replacement tenders time and time again. For those of us who worked with Tim, we will miss the way he could find humour in any situation, often with a quiet comment at the most difficult of times. He made every day a joy. Rarely does one meet such an intellectual person able to find humour in the most surprising of things, and Tim would always have the Pascoe office roaring with laughter many times each day. We were not just Tim’s colleagues, we were all Tim’s friends. We are sure that many customers and suppliers past and present will feel the same. Pascoe will be a quieter place without him and he will be greatly missed. Tim is survived by his wife Sissa and their two children Lucy and Harvey. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
April 2010: Pascoe launched their first superlight carbon 6.0m shuttle with a Honda F150 four-stoke outboard, weighing only 840kg. In addition to the vacuum moulded hull and deck, the detail of the tender included a number of special ‘add-ons’ such as a clear-coated carbon finish to the console and custom made outboard cover, fly-by-wire controls, custom sound system, tender tracking, embroidered upholstery, dyneema self stowing lifting strops, folding bow canopy etc
The 55m classically styled sailing ketch Marie, currently under construction at Vitters Shipyard, has just taken delivery of a 6.2m Shuttle. Following Pascoe’s successful use of single propeller drives on the Yanmar engines, this tender has been fitted with a Volvo D3 engine and single propeller SX drive. These developments improve acceleration and ease of manoeuvring.
March 2010:
A matching pair of Shuttles has been completed for a new build at Lurssen in Germany. The pair of tenders feature identical layouts, colour schemes and engines, one is to full SOLAS specification, while the other is a crew tender. This is an ideal example of how Pascoe can customise the SOLAS model to complement the aesthetics of the yacht. Developing such similar tenders also minimises spares and training requirements. Delivered this week by Pascoe International, the 8th tender for Sunseeker International, to be installed on another new Sunseeker Predator 130 superyacht. Fitted with a Yanmar 4BY-180 hp inboard diesel engine and waterjet, the boat was given an extensive and successful sea trial on its delivery by sea from our Yard on the Hamble to Sunseeker's Poole factory. Our production manager (and delivery driver) declared after the sea trial, 'the best yet'! February 2010:

Pascoe are pleased to confirm that they will be exhibiting two of the latest top specification tenders at the 19th Monaco Yacht Show in September. The latest development of the SY10 has been designed to provide maximum loaded performance, either as the ultimate sports tender or as an owner escape boat. Powered by twin 390hp diesel engines custom made by Goldfish Technology this new version can achieve 75 mph with 10 people on board.
The Pascoe Shuttle range continues to be the tender of choice for many of the top European yards. This compact 5.6m version features many options to allow the sea worthy tender to fit into the smallest stowage. Yet the 180hp Yanmar engine provides a 40 knot plus top speed and excellent acceleration.
