The stunning 8.0m SL Limousine has been selected in the ‘Tender Design Award’ category. This category is strong with 11 other tenders, ranging from RIBs to Limousines in contention from other builders such as Compass Tenders, Xtenders, Hodgdon and Yachtwerft Meyer to name a few. The Showboats Design Awards judge each nominee on the designer’s responsible for the differing elements of the tender. Specifically, the judges will focus on the fundamental design of the boat including; naval architecture, exterior and interior layout and integration with the Motorship.
The nominated Pascoe 8.0m SL Limousine is tender to M/Y Madame Kate, the 60m Amels 199 Limited Editions yacht. Her cabin echoes styling by Laura Sessa to match the mothership’s interior as well as exterior styling and design by Ken Freivokh Design.
Some of her key features include a centrally located 22” TV with integrated surround sound audio system controlled via an iPad, Apple TV and Blu-ray player. Moreover, Joystick controls allow perfect positioning when maneuvering, heating and air-conditioning are provided inside the cabin and pearlescent mirror gloss paint to replicate the look of Madame Kate including ‘porthole’ windows complete the exterior.
The awards ceremony will be held on the 21st-23rd of February in Kitzbuhel, Austria and tickets to the event can be purchased from BOAT International online.

Pascoe International have already completed a series of planned expansion works at their main facility in Universal Marina, Southampton. Initially, increasing workshop space to include a new fabrication workshop, in addition to the creation of a dedicated wood mill and joinery department. Since then Pascoe International has continued to grow with an ever-increasing demand for semi-custom luxury superyacht tenders
Following the launch of the exquisite SL Limousine and Landau ranges, most notably the 9.6m SL Limousine launched at the Monaco Yacht Show 2014 and winner of the Showboats Design Award 2015, Pascoe International already have hull number 10 on order. The 8.0m SL Limousine and the most recently built 9.6m SL Limousine were also on display at the Monaco Yacht Show 2015, with both models generating a huge amount of interest.
New expansion works have now been carried out neighbouring the current facility where a 300 m2 workspace now houses the hand lay-up composite builds. This now allows Pascoe’s main build shed to house solely new build semi-custom Limousine tenders from our SL range.
The first tender to be produced in the new workshop was the new 5.6m DT Launch, also on display at the Monaco Yacht Show 2015, and delivered to her mothership immediately afterwards. The 5.6m DT is a smaller, highly optimised, compact and competitively priced version of the 7-8m DT tenders.
The introduction of the new workshop has further increased Pascoe’s presence at the fantastic Universal Marina on the river Hamble, Southampton. Further plans for expansion are on the horizon.
Compact Superyacht Tender: 5.60m DT Launch Model
Following two years of research and development, Pascoe International are delighted to announce the arrival of the first of a new line of compact superyacht tenders. A targeted program of production engineering and extensive 3D design has resulted in a highly optimised, compact yet elegant platform which remains competitively priced not through hardware or material savings, but thanks to a dramatic reduction in build time.

Quality
Over the last 10 years, Pascoe International have carved a reputation for providing the highest quality superyacht tenders in the marketplace. The new range of DT Launches continues this tradition and proudly incorporates all the attention to detail, top-class engineering and only the very best fixtures and fittings on a platform designed following automotive practice. The DT Launches retain the pneumatic collars which offer the best possible protection for both the tender and the mother ship, on a “D” configuration to maximise internal space.
Design
All mouldings have been precision CNC machined for total symmetry and perfect fit. Overall weight has been kept to a minimum and weight distribution optimised to ensure a safe and stable launch and recovery. The cockpit is that of a ‘proper’ boat, with high composite sides to offer maximum protection.
Height
The new DT range offers maximum spray protection whilst fitting in yacht garages of minimum size. With the standard folding console screen the new range will fit within garages as low as 1200mm.
Boarding
The new range has been designed to understand the variety of tasks that a dedicated yacht tender will encounter. Guest boarding is catered for from all aspects, side-on with permanent teak lined steps, from the bow again with fixed steps and stern to via a generous swim platform.
Noise and Vibration
All the tenders in the new range boast a highly insulated mid-engine configuration. This layout not only achieves optimum weight distribution, but also significant noise and vibration reduction through a decoupled connection to either jet or stern-drive.
Standard Equipment
Raymarine E7 Chart plotter
Lifting Points
Folding Console Screen
Concealed Swimming Ladder
Flush Mooring Cleats
Lopo LED Navigation Lights
Bespoke Aluminum Grab Handles
Volvo Interceptor Trim Control
Cost and Delivery
The new tenders offer a dramatic cost reduction thanks to the adoption of automotive assembly techniques with the 5.6m starting at £115,000. The assembly process now allows a shorter build slot and hence faster delivery.
We will be delighted to show you the first of the new DT Launch range at Monaco Yacht Show, to be shown alongside the latest 8.0m and 9.6m limousine tenders.

This very special Limousine is painted in a custom pearlescent white to match the motherships exterior and also features portholes to match those found on the Tim Heywood designed exterior of the mothership. Design input was also taken for the interior from Laura Sessa Design to compliment the look and feel of Madame Kate’s guest areas. The 8.0m Limousine is a true representation of its mothership and is a testament to the relationship between Pascoe International, the owner’s team and the yachts designers.
Madame Kate, the 60m Amels LE180, also carries a 7.0m DT Pascoe tender, primarily used as for water sports, swimming and crew operations.
The 8.0m SL Limousine is the latest addition to the Pascoe range and was designed as a compact alternative to the larger 9.6m SL Limousine that recently won the 2015 Showboats Design Award for best tender. The sale of the second SL 8.0m has just been confirmed and Pascoe have another three SL Limousines in build ranging from 9.6m to 10.6m.

MEng students from the University of Southampton are working on a project to produce a transatlantic Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV). The ASV is designed as a research platform and central communication hub for other research vessels.
The students are working closely with the specialist designers, laminators and boat builders at Pascoe International to produce the hull and deck for their reliable and robust design. By designing a fit for purpose hull with a restricted budget, their project hopes to ‘accelerate the development of these vessels and increase the rate of research they can carry out’ (Conrad Manning, Team Fortitude).
This alliance demonstrates Pascoe International’s commitment to the development of young engineers. Pascoe truly appreciates the importance of maintaining the specialised skills required in the UK boat building sector and currently employs apprentices across four different trades.
